Re: What did you buy this week?

Got these for free for shopping during the 20th jubilee event at a German shop. Good deal! Plasmoids seem to be the Wereravens/Twig Blights of IotR, they cost a lot for some reason. Ulitharids too, but well, I know the reason for those! Its the only version available of a semi-popular playable race...

Re: Is frameworks and nolzurs dead

Not dead - but being wounded and I am guessing refreshed - a report from a retailer. So today I got notification from my main supplier (the only one who brings Wizkids into Australia) that they were discontinuing supply of quite a few of the wizkids unpainted minis that I had on order for restock. O...

Re: Dwarven Forge Fans Thread

Certainly my vibe over the last few kickstarters is they are leaning into modularity and pretty at the expense of usability - both in a finnicky set up time sense & in terms of the increased level of expense.

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

I don’t think it breaks 2 million. Close but no cigar. Not unless they add in something epic additional that all backers are going to buy - for example either a new subtheme or some more old sets in prismacast such as city streets or sewers etc. I think they could have broken $2 million had they ha...

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

Okay, I backed. It's too good a deal. And it's fun watching all those stretch goals unlock! I figure that cavern stuff I don't need can go to school for the club, and there are still plenty of pieces that will compliment my DF caverns. Plus a couple sub themes that are pretty cool! It really is too...

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

Aye a bridge bundle would be good! I'm already finding myself looking at an additional pledge just for another copy of the stretch goals.

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

The prismacast stuff seems like such a good deal. Honestly, it's going to be hard for Dwarven Forge and Wizkids to compete. I guess DF's thing is that it's the Cadillac option, while Warlock Tiles are the most easily available, but the value on D&L is so good that I could see them taking over t...

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

Agreed. I am more than sold on prismacast. I doubt I will buy unpainted from DnL moving forward. I'm like 90% sold on it - everything I've seen has been awesome and the toughness tests that various youtubers have carried out have me convinced that the tech is there and ready. I just would really re...

Re: Dwarven Forge Fans Thread

I'm just not seeing this getting very big - sci-fi TTRPGs are a tiny fraction of the market, and though some of this could be used in certain fantasy settings, it's a lot of money to invest to get a very niche product. A fair amount of them are better suited to being played theatre of the mind as w...

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

You always wonder when this happens and campaigns blow past the initial goal, are they hi-fiving or shitting bricks?? For Archon, it's a bit of both. The art team is bombarded for new art & Jarek is probably running around like a madman trying to give us more stretch goals. I think they've play...

Re: Dwarven Forge Fans Thread

It looks pretty enough but its too expensive for what it is I think - particularly with the D&L Caves campaign going on at the same time.

I was also looking at a catwalk - but when I compare what I get for the same amount of money from D&L - I can't justify it to myself.

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

Curious for any Dwarven Forge owners, what of these sets interest you the most? I am super intrigued, but I don't know what I would be getting. Prices for the terrain are great. So many choices. From me it would not be the cores sets but more just the sub type rooms so that you can just drop and bu...

Re: Dungeons and Lasers VI: Caves

I really want to see all the prepainted themes before I finalise my pledge but definitely a KoTM - the value is simply too great - I think I only really need a Dwarven Warrior but $144 for another Core set and 3 Sub Themes is too spicy to turn down.

Re: D&D Icons of The Realms: Balagos, Ancient Red Dragon

Jandar - originally after Arveiaturace and Balagos, word was that a Colossal (Ancient) Black Dragon was next... but I think later the info was changed it would be the Green. However more than a year passed by without a release. I believe Vexwing confirmed the next Colossal would happen, but perhaps...

Re: Next Level Miniatures - Dragon's Hoard Miniatures Remastered

We'll actually be at GAMA which starts this coming weekend and one of our main focuses is talking to retail shop owners about getting our product into their stores. Funny enough, the "sample box" idea you mention is one we've already taken steps to work on and we've got a retail box produ...
