Agreed, but that mini is ancient by todays standards, almost 10 years old now. I thought I remember seeing a quote from POH that confirmed they are pretty restricted to in book assets for modeling?

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse (Set 30)

They won't cause they are 100% dedicate to the book and nothing art wise outside of that which to me is a fault when D&D has over 50 years of ideas. Like other said I already have this scene removed from my storyline if I was going to do it. It's a sewer like scene, bakery is easy to swap out a...

Re: Star Wars Miniatures

I got into X-Wing when there were only four ships, and played beyond the second edition conversion. But, I haven’t played any X-Wing or Armada for many years now. There is an X-Wing league that plays at my FLGS on the same night I game with my group there. They alternate between tournaments and sce...

Re: Dwarven Forge Fans Thread

I glued magnets into the spaces where they would normally clip. Because this means that the magnet is several millimetres removed from the metal tray, I had to include several, but magnets are cheap: Note: these last tiles have also been repainted/touched up: Sweetwater Inn 1.jpg Any issues with th...

Re: Star Wars Miniatures

I bought a pretty size-able collection from an estate sale maybe 2-3 years ago now. $200 for easily 500+ minis, bunch of vary rares, with KOTOR minis, a Rancor, etc. Most were common/army builders, but doing some quick math it was easy to see I did well. I liked them alot and came back to help them ...

Re: When is enough enough?

It really depends on the frequency of the monster/mini. Zombie/Skeleton? Multiples are good, but different sculpts/poses are better. I wouldn't go above 2-3 of the same sculpt if possible. Having collected most Skeleton/Zombie type sculpts released so far, I'm really only buying them if they are uni...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms (Set 31): 50th Anniversary Miniatures Set!

Wizkids' Heroclix guy who does the official unboxing, has been calling the super-unique minis "chases" for quite some time. I do not know how Heroclix case distribution works, but I suspect we can expect the same thing here. Sure I agree, my point was more chases are not exclusives which ...

Re: Minisgallery Snapshot Part 1

1) Where are you from? Central Missouri 2) If I came to visit, where are we going? Easily Gamestore and then a local eatery. 3) Do you game on a weekly basis? Monthly? Once every other week for D&D, weekly for TCGs. 4) Do you actually use miniatures in gaming? Always. In 5th Ed I think its impo...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms (Set 31): 50th Anniversary Miniatures Set!

How can they be "chase" if they're only as rare as a rare? What does Chase even mean? I am pretty new to mini collecting It usually means that it's not sold directly, but appears randomly in other products or is given away in limited numbers at conventions. So, the Ebay scalpers make a fo...

Re: Sales and events

From what I can tell, the promo card in the Core bundle is just a foil version of a regular card. I guess that appeals to some people? But even so, it costs three bucks on the BGG store, so… not much of an incentive. Correct - it was a release/prerelease promo - all the promos in this game are set ...

Re: Possible IP sell of D&D

But, why would there be a difference between who does the D&D Beyond book or the printed book? Isn't the text exactly the same in both? Then difference is only in the layout and such, no? Someone has to chop the book up, index and catalog it from paper to digital. Then you have the hooks to fee...
