Re: Champions of Rokugan by Monolith
Looks pretty tasty. Do you know where their miniatures are made? There's nothing on the campaign page yet.

Re: Archon floats PPM for their next KS
I'm skeptical as well. The samples I've seen on YouTube etc. have looked great, but I wanna see how they come out when they are being mass produced - in other words, when they are in my hands. As well, as someone who does both, painting terrain is generally very different than painting miniatures. Y...

Games Workshop also offers one for a bit less, but you'll have to assemble and paint it:

Archon floats PPM for their next KS
In their backer survey for the next Dungeons and Lasers Kickstarter, one of the options that Archon inquired about was pre-painted miniatures, presumably using the same factory spray/injection method that they've started offering for their terrain. I have a bunch of that ordered for their Caverns, a...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adventures from Baldur's Gate (Set 35) and Baldur's Gate 3 - Characters Set
Yeah...frankly, these don't seem much lower quality than the Wizkids norm. Which is objectively poor - these are factory painted in batches, not lovingly painted by a hobbyist with hours to spend on each. I have a hundreds of Wizkids pre-painted miniatures in my collection, and the first thing I do ...

Those grass tiles look gorgeous, and so does that pond mat. It also looks like you'll be able to get grass tiles with dirt road . Those will be must-haves for me.

Re: Dwarven Forge Fans Thread
I have not used primer ever and I paint all my own but at the same time I use the actual Pokorny paints in most cases (just not for the little things). If you use Citadel paints heads up it can get tacky when it dries. I did my orginal Tudor with Citadel brown for the wood and man I do regret it no...

Re: Good and Cheap Trees and Foliage
Yack's got it covered for platic trees. However, if cheap is a priority, then model railroad trees are your best bet - they are exponentially less expensive. They are also much less detailed, and instead of sculpted leaves they use foam flocking, which eventually wears out and leaves bits everywhere...

Re: D&D Frameworks Wave 2b (or rather Wave 3)
I agree that Archon would be a huge upgrade for Frameworks, but I wouldn't assume that the prices would go down - if anything, they might go up. The official D&D license would still have to be accounted for, and I can;t imagine that Archon's operating costs are lower than for a plant in China.

And if I'm not mistaken it's all out of Poland so less likely to get messed up by tariffs? That's quite the assumption these days  True, but Trump is treading somewhat cautiously around the EU, and Poland's government is more copacetic with his worldview than most, so I think you Americans hav...

Re: Dungeons & Lasers VII: Porthaven
That said...I kinda hope they redesign it. I'm not sure that it's actually bigger than the Reaper dragon turtle I already own. I think I'd like it better if it was just a massive head coming out of the water, with maybe a couple claws and hint of the shell.

Re: Dungeons & Lasers VII: Porthaven
Happy they threw the duck dragon at us, the ki-rin winning that vote pained me considering we've been teased with the duck dragon for years. Still in it for the boats. One pre painted and one ghost across 2 pledges. I don't need the minis but I can use and do want the scatter. Hoping for some more ...

Re: Dungeons & Lasers VII: Porthaven
Welp, I ...spit out the bullet? on this one. Cancelled pledge and went down to $1 just in case I want to back later but I think I convinced myself that I don't really need the ship and the pile of stretch goals will just sit there waiting for me to decide I want to start becoming a painter. I get i...

Re: Dungeons & Lasers VII: Porthaven
Yeah and it's super cool but they would need a VERY intense final acceleration to get to $2.5 million, so I think it's mostly there to shut up all the people on the message board. Hope I'm wrong, though, because a dragon turtle on that scale would be awesome!
