Re: Out of the Abyss (D&D)

I have updated the first post with my current WIP list for this module; the list itself is complete, and the monsters all have recommendations linked to them. I just need to complete the NPC recommendations at a later date. One thing I did notice with this module is that some of the quantities list...

Spider-Dragon review from GallantGoblin. (Come on, release the full set video too!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEnKgn4kJfo I just bought my first case…I have been collecting for some years but got to buy a case of these for my upcoming birthday… I keep obsessively checking to see if the gallan...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

I’ve started restating monsters for my own game, basically a homebrew heartbreaker monster manual. I’m almost up to the ‘D’ section, and that means dragons. This go around I’m thinking of stating dragons by something other than color and letting the color be random. I’m thinking it’ll add some wond...

Re: D&D Bookends: Red Dragon & Black Dragon - and D&D Replicas of the Realms: Red Dragon Egg

What kind of savage puts their books on a floating shelf? The goal is to have every shelf full from end to end, jammed against the shelf wall, so books are near impossible to pull out. Thinner books and characters sheets are to be shoved on top , slowly being crushed to the back of the self. I have...

Just completed a trade with bshugg where I finally acquired the elusive Giff Promos plus a lot of other unique pieces. I would definitely trade with him again.

That traveling saleman sure ripped me off. He promised me a red wyrmling, and all I got for my troubles was a kobold kinder. Sigh, another mouth to feed….

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

While the prices of the Ancients were staggering, I gave up after Arveiaturace because they take up so much storage space and were just never going to see my table. I did get Tiamat, because I will fit her in a campaign (sooner rather than later). I actually enjoyed getting the Adult series dragons ...

Re: Builders of Baldur’s Gate?

Lord of Waterdeep was very well done, and even the expansions were good. Plus the D&D feel was absolutely spot on. It will be hard to beat.

Re: Looking for old Chainmail/WOTC metal minis

Those old Grenadier D&D boxes bring back memories. My gaming group had lots and they often showed up at the table unpainted. I bet at least a few boxes have survived with their contents, but I was not the owner of them.

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

To complicate things more, I’ve heard they want to release another basic version. I’m not entirely sure if that’s just a new starter, or if it’s like the difference between AD&D and D&D. Maybe they just feel the need to capitalize on the healthily growing old school community and things lik...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

MSRP of $80. Probably see it only for $60. Wont matter to me, because I don't like any of the new art so far. I do hope they make design changes like this Black Dragon to other popular monsters; Beholders, Mind Flayers. Owl Bears, Orcs, Demon/Devil Lords... change them all! Just means that all our ...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

Hasbro has never made miniatures before - heck, they allowed not just Wizkids but Jada to make metal D&D prepainted minis, after all. So I'd not be worried about them taking back the license. They do not have the capacity or experience for making minis, at least not yet. I had thought the DDM m...

Re: Wizkids Webshop (USA)

Whoever's running this shop seems truly inept. Yeah, but then I doubt the store is a top priority for them. I would think it has grown in importance as a significant number of game shops (online and brick & mortar) have really reduced or dropped their icons of the realms, pathfinder battles &am...

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Black Dragon

Wizards of the Coast’s changes to the dragons appearances has finally given me inner peace in that I have no sense of FOMO about these new dragons. I mean, I already have too many dragons, but had this been made in a more traditional look I probably would have ended up getting it anyways. I’m happy,...
