D&D Icons of the Realms: Orc Warband

Post by Aerodus »

We got some pictures today for the upcoming Orc Warband. Most notably, there seems to be some orc variants from Volo's in here. Might make it more enticing to some.

I'm in! I need more unique orc minis. Style looks like good match for recent D&D set PPM orcs. The guy with the tumors is probably going to go in my waste bin though.

Hopefully the price will good. 8 unique orcs when I haven't even really started my orc collection would be great.

Good mix of poses. Have to see how it looks as figures instead of renders before I'm interested though.
I write at Blizzardwatch.com to afford all these minis. Officially boycotting WizKids until Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat is released to the general public.
Donated my PPM to a local library D&D group.

Well, I only want exactly one of those guys. Hopefully can find a single of him.

Funny, that's one of the ones I'm interested in - that's one of the Volo variants I was talking about

I expect Coolstuffinc or Troll & Toad might piece these out, so you could probably grab it there.

KingsofLight on ebay tends to break-up sets like this too and sell individually. I got a few of the Strahd/Ravenloft minis at a good price from them, since I only wanted a few from each set.

How weird that I was literally just looking at stats for these guys before I popped over here.
This is too expensive.

This is an easy buy from me. I’m really liking the war band sets. Now I just need them to make a twig blight one with 10 in a package

Nice set, hopefully it'll be reasonable priced.

I just saved a ton of money by switching to a purchasing freeze. Currently on track to keep my wife and be spoiled again later.

I do hope that each mini isn't just named "Orc" like with the previous warbands - makes if much more difficult to find the one you want.

.. and that's when we learn Wotc's next big campaign will require multiples of them ("Nurtured One of Yurtrus").

I don't like it that they chose to "waste" one of the 8 slots with an almost identical mini to the "Claw of Luthic", which is the cheapest orc out there (I imagine nobody needs too many multiples of) and the green/pus/blister one would easily fit in a full scale set but doesn't seem part of the "orc warband".

As a brighten-up last word, I love the new sculpts :D

These look good. Neat to see such different looks. Doesn't look so much like a warband to me, but variety is nice regardless

That's more or less what I was thinking. Nice variety but not so sure on warband. Although I suppose they could be part of a horde that was composed of different tribes, maybe?
