Yeah, it is weird that the Werewolf not only has a grey loincloth but you can see he has some wraps around his ankles that are also the same color as his fur. Hopefully it is just an unpainted proto, or in better lighting the colors are different. The pose is good and there does not seem to be a big gap around the mouth where the molds are put together.
The Wererats seems to be the same CGI render as the WDH ones, so not based on the new art - that one is quite similar but has very torn clothing, more like rags, and no boots. But I like the pose, very sneaky and rat-like! Also both the old and new art are so similar there isn't much of a difference. I do wish he had a tail, but neither did the art, so that's probably why they don't.

Nice to have a Wolf of a different color than grey or black. I'll keep a few for variety's sake.

Why not? Until 2025 Werewolves have beem Medium. Are you getting rid of all your older Werewolf minis suddenly because of a recent change? (and if so, can I have them? ;))
I never accepted some changes 3E made, for example. I just continued with the old canon. I did the same when 5E turned Gnolls into weird fiends spawned by Yeenoghu (maybe Yeenoghu has followers inside WotC who helped him rewrite the lore so everyone forgets Gorellik...)
In other cases like Giants, I continue to have both the Huge and Large versions in my collection, as the minis look good, even if I prefer the Huge sized ones, I will keep the old ones too.

I assume those that are in control and not afflicted still have some modesty. :P

Very simply because I play the current edition, and I (as a general rule) don't want to field the wrongly sized minis.

I have plenty medium sized werewolves already, but they, as well as all the wrong sized giants and demons, have been put in storage for now. I already got rid of a few, but am keeping some of them for the occasional 3.5 campaign which pops up.

I just really don't understand why they would still release even more medium sized ones, especially in a set which is especially keyed to the current Monster Manual, which clearly states the hybrid form of werewolves to be large.

I understand that people who play other editions don't care and are happy with everything we're getting, but for me another medium werewolf is really a useless mini, and a waste of a slot.

Oh, I see. I assumed not much would change rule-wise other than reach regarding a creature's size in gameplay. So you don't keep the minis even for aesthetic reasons?

As to why... Size discrepancies have always been a problem for Lycanthrope minis, even as far back as Dragoneye when WotC made a Medium Werebear (renamed Dwarven Werebear when they realized their error during production). I think the problem is, the stat blocks are written with the humanoid form in mind, and the size of the beast and hybrid form are only mentioned in the "shapechange" section. That confused the manufacturers, for both WotC and Wizkids. And the same even happened in Pathfinder Battles, see the Medium sized Werebear and Weretiger in those sets.
Vexwing has promised to make sure this is fixed in future set, you can look up his posts.

I think wererats should have tails. Tails have been omitted in most of the more recent sculpts.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

Should I read this in werewolf voice?

I tried BBShockwave's trick from the Underdark set, and I guess they learned from that experience :D : https://wizkids.com/2025/03/27/dd-icons ... lection-1/

My man Marco, since you always know the release dates, when is this coming out? :D

Hehe, welcome to the hacker club. Oh yeah, I knew this was there. I have seen some other older sets uploaded previously the same way too, with a password protection.
Have you tried... double hacking? ;) (as NCIS taught us, that is when 2 people type quickly on the same keyboard)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msX4oAXpvUE
I tried several passwords from dates of release to names of some of the minis we know are in the set, to password123, but no luck.

I think a Bar'lgura is more likely in Ghost Light - so far all the minis save for the Wererat are based on the new Monster Manual art in this set, while Ghost Light has several minis based on older art.

The Wereboar, but he is not chasing him... both of them are being chased by the Werebear! :)

He'd probably be bigger than the MM3/S&S ones. Probably as large as the PFB "chef" Wereboar!
