Snagged this Bones 5 Fan Favorites off eBay for under $60 shipped.

Ordered a bevy of old DDM mini's from Auggies, along with a few newer mini’s. I’d not really paid attention to Icons for the last year. Some good stuff to go find in the years to come.

As more people are going to Clear Bases Only, more and more DDM has show up in the market for cheaper than it used to be. I’ve been filling out quantities of creatures I was thin on as I find bargains.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

I got in a small collection of 150 or so minis. Best thing is seller just sent them to me and said "pay what you think is fair...". Honestly he will get a better deal from me than if he did a regular deal because I value that kind of honor.

Also picked up a lot of 50th Anniversary rares and chases for a solid price. About 20 rares and 10 chases. Been wanting to save money for GenCon but the seller was motivated.

a Huge lot of 450 Mage Knight 2.0 minis was offered up for a killer price on FB. 2.0 has much better paint jobs and sculpts so was very happy to nab them. They will all be going under the knife. A few I could probably make more on Ebay but its more fun to turn them into D&D minis. I let my daughters do the dirty work and then sell them for spending money/nerd money of their own.

The Onslaught and Dad's sales on Wizkids store got my eye... toyed with the Lichen Lich set but it raised shipping by 25$.
Ended up grabbing a Dragonlance brick - as I only ever bought singles and superboosters from this set, I am still missing minis like the Warhorse and several Rares, so I thought why not try my luck... and if I get Huges I already have in the superboosters, I can still sell them.
Also grabbed the Sellswords 1 Onslaught set which for some reason, was only 20$, not 30$ like the others.
And got yet another Pixie (my fourth!) and the Living Firecracker promo on top!

2.0 is basically all new sculpts of the Rebellion starter set lineup, as those originals were based on pewter minis (you could actually even buy them unpainted too). However, the best paint jobs were in Nexus - which took minis from several earlier sets and repainted them.

Think you are mixing up Unlimited and 2.0. This is miniatures from 2.0 base set, Dark Riders, Sorcery, & Omens. No Unlimited in this lot.

What a great haul! How good is the green dracolich, I think it’s my favourite of those

Went into my local gamestore (not one I play at, but I visit frequently) and they had a bunch of singles for sale.
I noticed as I looked at them that the store doesn't bother to try and price them based on the market, just prices them based on size, so I wasted no time snagging a few BG3 ones I wanted / can use.

For context as well, based on online prices, each of these minis online would have cost me roughly (using Miniature Market as a guide);

Bulette - NZD8.00
Bhaal Cultist - NZD8.00
Priestess Gut - NZD8.00
Hollyphant - NZD8.00
Sarevok - NZD58.00

So, while yes, the Bulette was over 3 times the price I could have paid for it, I paid NZD53 for what should have cost me NZD90. And no shipping costs required either... Hah!

Nice catch! I had visited game stores that priced minis based on rarity but just a generic price point, IE a Medium Common would be 200 HUF and a Medium Rare 1000 HUF, regardless of what the mini was worth online. I got the Dragonborn Defender this way for peanuts once.

And yeah, love the Green Dracolich (even if it is more like greyish-blue). I am so glad we at least got almost all the classic Dragons as Dracoliches in IotR before the artwork switch (and we do have a small-ish Black Dracolich from old DDM).

Ah yeah you are right, I meant Unlimited. That was the re-done version of Rebellion. However, it had pretty bad paint jobs, so the Nexus repaints of the Unlimited minis are usually superior.

You should get the canadian RPG fandom to start a petition to the government to fix this situation...

Just ordered a Pharblex Spattergoo from Coolstuff who has done a restock on their chases from that set.

This will once again "complete" the collection for me so that I have at least 1 copy of every single mini in the DDM, Icons, PF and critical role series that have been released. I was missing the PF bloody harpy promo and Spattergoo but picked them both up. Almost pulled the trigger on a $110 copy of spattergoo on ebay because no one else seemed to have one for trade or sale. It was under $50 on coolstuff with my customer discount there so happy with that price.

So yeah, this May has been a great month mini-wise, due to all the various 50% sales Wizkids had... but I also got some other minis from other sources!
2025-05-07 - D&D Onslaught.jpg

2025-05-16 - D&D Onslaught.jpg (1.88 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
First to arrive were the Onslaught discounted minis - bought them from DnDmini and Wizkids store separately since this way I can keep the tax/customs lower, plus since I found out thanks to a fellow fans that (this only activates during checkout) on Wizkidstore, the Red Wizards and Many-Arrows expansion packs got some extra discount, making them cost 20$ instead of 30$! This was only valid there, not on D&Dminis.
Got the Frogmire set, Ancient Constructs, Red Wizards and Many-Arrows faction packs, Harpers and Many-Arrows expansion packs, the Mage Knight board game's expansion (which only has the minis), and a Water Genasi Druid. Also got a Pixie promo!
2025-05-15 - D&D Adult Crystal and Time Dragons.jpg

2025-05-14 - D&D Premium Prepainted Minis.jpg
2025-05-14 - D&D Premium Prepainted Minis.jpg (1.71 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
The next order from their next big sale were the Adult Crystal and Time Dragons - plus some Premium Prepainted minis. I sadly lost out on Lord Soth and his Greater Death Dragon, but at least got both the Giant Skeletal Bunny and the Harengon Bandit promos. Oddly they shipped them separately.
2025-05-20 - Dreamblade Italy.jpg
2025-05-20 - Dreamblade Italy.jpg (1.79 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
Next came this Dreamblade booster lot I got from the same seller I bought Dreamblade last time, from Italy. I also bought some Rare singles separately, as he was selling them for rather good prices!
2025-05-20 - D&D lot from Ihrysko.jpg
2025-05-20 - D&D lot from Ihrysko.jpg (1.63 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
These minis I got from a slovakian webstore called Ihrysko - they were nice enough to help and send me a payment request, as due to some error I could not check out. Officially, they ship to Hungary and the Czech Republic too, but the system does not let you select your address at checkout. Anyhow, they were selling the F&T Tridrone for 6€ and the Fire Giant Skeleton for 12€, these were too good to leave out, especially as these are cool enough minis to get as multiples. I also got a Nuckelavee and Girtabilu from PFB-RoL, and the scales of life each around 2€. They sent the medium minis in these cute little plastic boxes but with bubble wrap!
2025-05-22 - D&D 50th Anniversary.jpg
2025-05-22 - D&D 50th Anniversary.jpg (1.58 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
2025-05-23 - D&D Vecna - Eve of Ruin.jpg
2025-05-23 - D&D Vecna - Eve of Ruin.jpg (1.56 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
The next big order came when they discounted both 50th Anniversary and Vecna to 50% too, and I got extremely lucky with customs as they charged me some arbitrary value around 100$ instead of their real price... Dunno why, and I won't complain ;) I did have to explain to them the Giant Skeletal Bunny being a free promo, as that arrived as a third package and I had to give it a 1$ value so they can prepare their customs form...
2025-05-23 - D&D Spiderdragon - Promos.jpg
2025-05-23 - D&D Spiderdragon - Promos.jpg (1.89 MiB) Viewed 1036 times
And then to my great surprise this package arrived as well... Yeah, since I already received all these in April at their promo sale. When my tracking number was stalling and only showing the package being prepared for 2 weeks without any movement, I wrote to the helpdesk, and apparently instead of inquiring at USPS they just shipped the same order again. So now the late package somehow arrived too, meaning I have these minis twice... ;)

Aren't the promos listed at $.01 on the invoices?

Wizkids/DNDMini's DAD (father's day) sale got expanded with Return of the Dragons being now 50% off too, quickly bought myself a case... and got another Pixie too. (Shipping was cheaper from DnDMinis this time, by 10$).

That used to be the case, but now they subtract the same amount in the final bill, and the invoice shows "Free" instead for promos.
I also was worried since combined shipping was about 87$ they'd tax me for that amount for a measly Skeletal Bunny, but thankfully they used whatever shipping cost was written on the package instead.
