What did you buy this week?
Re: What did you buy this week?
Balagos in, Collossal Red Dragon going out. (Balagos doesn't fit in the cupboard)
I like both,, but have limited space, and I don't need 2 Red Dragons of this size.

HUh looks exactly like the official one. I thought the 3D prints were at least the creator's own models?
Does whatever a Spiderdragon can!
Re: What did you buy this week?
It’s pretty obviously not a 3D scan, but a sculpt based on whatever artwork WotC uses for the Neolithid. It’s also a 5yo STL file, so all parties have definitely had time to deal with it l, if it were an IP issue.

And it did not cost me $130-140 CAN so I am super good with that. LOL

Re: What did you buy this week?
I hear you! I had this one made up last year (yet to paint). It's such a niche monster entry with so much potential, but while I WANT to be massive and imposing, in application... I just can't run a combat with such a huge figure. I want to use it amongst cave terrain, but the 8" dinner plate base just made it so prohibitive.
So I whipped this guy. I used a different base STL, but I spliced and rotated some segments so it fit more coiled up, and so it was big enough to fit in a 3" height box, but wide enough to look comfortable on a 4" base for the Gargantuan footprint. When you're done painting, please tag me. I'd love to see your rendition!

Re: What did you buy this week?
Can’t wait to see it painted

I have the WizKids model I plan to strip and repaint one day in the far future lol
I'm selling stuff! Take a look here.
Re: What did you buy this week?
Lots of cool stuff you guys have gotten! Wish I had the time to comment on all of it!
I got an early 40th birthday present from a couple of friends:
Game Master's Companion from Dragon Shield! From my perspective, it might be the best GM travel kit product I've seen! And I love the DM screen!
It also closes easily with magnets.
And I got four "Premium Painted" Wizkids minis, because they were half off at the store.

Re: What did you buy this week?
On Saturday I managed to snag the new Kill Team: Typhon box on preorder. It’ll be 2 weeks before it ships, but I’m happy to have gotten one. It sold out in minutes.
Amazon still has some of the Rune Wars sets at ridiculously good prices. I’d wanted to pick up some more of the four legged beasts from this faction. Stand alone they would be under $10, but the whole faction was under $18, and I recently decided upon a method for kit-bashing a Draegloth-like troll I use in my games sometimes, and the arms of the Berserkers in this box are a great fit for it.

Re: What did you buy this week?
Took advantage of the Summer Savings sale on MM, got these discounted
-Witchlight: Iggwilv's Cauldron (Gold)
-Ravnica: Boros Reckoner
-BU: Merfolk Warrior
-COLO: Naiad Queen
and threw in a Planescape Duodrone, since now I have more Tridrones than Duodrones due to the slovakian webshop find.
Also, a local collector friend found a 3D printer in Hungary who has access to tons and tons of models and prints them in good quality, and cheap as well! I have ordered a lot of Raging Heroes models from the Egyptian, Amazon (Lizardmen/women) and Pirate sets as well as a few steampunk Techpriest stuff that'll work nicely as Trobriand's inventions (he had more than just Scaladars). Plus a Rakshasa, and some Gnolls and Werewolves. It's quite a lot - and still have to practice painting on other minis first - but since the printer guy is going into business soon for a company, he said he cannot print for private orders anymore in a few weeks time, so it was now or never.
Though, given the recent discounts, you could get the official one at half the price, or less. I got mine for a mere 60€.

Ah I see. Usually the third party models of 5E art I have seen so far were pretty low res. But this one is really nice quality.Mattnuke wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:52 pm IMG_5164.jpeg
It’s a similar pose, but even that isn’t “exact”. It’s pretty hard to get too creative with a big worm…while also getting it to fit on a round base of the appropriate size. That said, the flaps for the mouth/head are different. So is the texture on the skin.

My players got me this in red as a present and I absolutely love it! I am sure you will too once you start using it!Guyra wrote: ↑Mon Jun 16, 2025 6:42 am Lots of cool stuff you guys have gotten! Wish I had the time to comment on all of it!

I bought a few more terrain pieces from Temu, but other than that, still on a buying freeze for a while.
What we did receive was our huge pledge for Zombicide White Death and the minis inside that game put to shame pretty much every other miniature I've seen. Can't wait to prime and start painting those. We also painted a lot these last couple of weeks, so I gotta update the painting thread!
I would gladly eat omelette made out of Remorhaz eggs.
Just have to get the eggs now.

Couldn't resist, got one too.Guyra wrote: ↑Mon Jun 16, 2025 1:04 pmHonestly amazed at the quality if it, would definitely recommend!
Haha, thank you!I didn't specify how early it was though, birthday's not until mid December.
But I was in Oslo with my friends, and we were visiting essentially Norway's only geek chain store. We got one in my town as well, but it's tiny compared to the Oslo one. Anyway, they saw me drooling over it and decided to buy it as a very early birthday gift.
(And then they got a Player's Companion each for themselves, and Spellbook Codex. Also really good products, same product line.)
