The Canadian shop that carried it (Meeplemart) was sold out, so I checked out Wargame Exclusive's online shop. It was a bit expensive (23 euros), but shipping was only 5 euros, so I figured I would give it a go (assuming the shop was in the UK).
A few days later, I got a shipping notification from the Ukraine. I was a bit concerned, never having ordered from Europe, outside of the UK, but I was reassured somewhat simply by the fact that Meeplemart carries a big selection, and the professional look of WGE's web site and Facebook presence. They do indicate that you should expect to wait up to 30 business days for a package to arrive. The shipping notification indicated that I would get a tracking number from the receiving postal service (in my case, Canada Post) once the hand-off had been made. I was in no hurry, and 90% (okay 80%) sure I hadn't been scammed, so I decided to sit tight. I did, at least once a week, check the tracking number I had (starting with an 'RC'), but CP didn't recognize the number.
Well, about 10 weeks after ordering, the package did arrive out of the blue. It looks like good quality stuff, although a bit smaller than I pictured--not sure the base is quite 2", but I will confirm. I am pretty happy that the transaction was successfully completed, considering the pandemic, but the wait would have been easier if I had ever got a new tracking number once the package left the Ukraine.
I will give an update once I have had a chance to bust it out of the blister pack and assemble it.
