Best Collector's Set of 2021
Vote for a pre-painted miniature collector's set released in 2021 which you believe deserves the title of "Best of 2021".
We are defining a collector's set to be a set with a randomized distribution format (also called blind format) of 10 or more miniatures. Any promotional miniatures releases along with a "collector's set" are not intended to form part of the set for the purposes of this vote -- they will be included in a separate category.
Members may cast votes for up to two sets. The set which receives the most votes will win this category. In the case of a tie, a panel of judges will be convened to break the tie.
Voting is open until the end of Sunday, November 19, 2022

Re: Best Collector's Set of 2021
Never an easier choice for me! I mean, I bought a case of Boneyard and Snowbound, but only a brick of Witchlight and I regretted even that...

Boneyard is easily the best set, it has everything that is needed for an undead campaign - except common orc skeletons and uncommon Kobold skeletons (i know there are promos, but i don´t have them).
My 2nd vote goes to Darklands Rising, of which i bought a case - finally a set with huge PFB minis and great ones at that.

Hard for me between Boneyard and Snowbound, both had great minis imho.
Re: Best Collector's Set of 2021
Honestly, Boneyard was just an incredible set! One of the best blind box sets Wizkids has ever made for D&D and Pathfinder, in my personal opinion. There was no other choice for first spot, in my mind.
Snowbound was also really good, though I will say it was much harder to choose. I don't think it's leaps and bounds better than the other, remaining sets of 2021, but I do think it was overall better.

Boneyard was the best set but I've got a lot of undead so I benefited from Snowbound a lot more.
Bestiary Unleashed was actually pretty good. I was surprised by how many of the singles I just ordered from the Paizo sale. Not enough of the set was good enough for me to buy boosters though.

I'm not shocked by Boneyard running away with it. One of the best sets ever.
Re: Best Collector's Set of 2021
Wild Beyond the Witchlight is sitting at one lonely vote. That's a rough showing for an Icons set.
Re: Best Collector's Set of 2021
I just increased the vote count for Wild beyond the Witchlight. After all this time, I still don't find Boneyard appealing.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

Ouch. I expected Witchlight to get a few votes only, but 2? And BU got only 1...
Hope Wizkids is checking these polls too...

I think that set easily became my lowest ranking IotR set ever. Eberron at least had the Larges that were from outside the setting, Ravnica and Theros had some really cool looking creatures, even Elemental Evil offered more classic monsters than Witchlight which has way too many adventure-specific creatures. I bought one brick, and even regretted that.

The hags are really cool and the Jabberwock is nice. Some other nice minis here and there like the Grell. That Unicorn Horn instantly makes it the worst set though.BBShockwave wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 11:51 am Ouch. I expected Witchlight to get a few votes only, but 2? And BU got only 1...

Re: Best Collector's Set of 2021
Yeah, I loved the Grell, Blink Dog, the tiny Faeries, Peryton, Giant Toad and Snail. The Hags did not interest me that much, and sadly I did not get the Jabberwock. Also, buying a brick that only had 4 Large minis in it (2 Lamornas, one Hag mount and the Giant Dragonfly) kinda ruined my mood...
