Pirate Cove

Post by Clint »

I build these little sets for after school games for beginning players. This Pirate Cove was built out of Dwarven Forge and populated with a mix of Reaper and Wizkids:

Clint where did you get that boat from?

I like it as its longer than a row boat almost like to a skiff....

That's a Dwarven Forge Bayou Barge. A bit pricy, but versatile, since its size can be customized and it also can be used as a wreck. I did that in my own pirate-themed build here.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

It is a great size.

I think unpainted it's only around $45, which seemed not bad for a versatile set piece, and wood is easy to paint. I really like it.
