Re: mhamann’s mutilated minis: “Hey Mister! You dropped something!”

I rebased a few Spawn of Kyuss minis, with a few worms dropping off. The Sons of Kyuss illustrations in the 1e Fiend Folio were a favorite in my younger days—very EC, Tales from the Crypt—pleasantly gross!

Used some gloss varnish to give the worms a wet look, but that might not be apparent on the pictures.

Thanks—used my green stuff tube/tentacle roller to make them. Really like that tool a lot.

Re: mhamann’s mutilated minis: Trouble with Trogles

I just finishes some troglodytes (Xulgath Shattered Star #9 Pathfinder Battles). Rebased with some stalagmites. Interestingly, they were not looking too good—had paint reactivation issues and overdid tone washes. I was surprised how much some dry brush highlights helped.

I’m moving on to another trio of Xulgath warriors next.

Love those trog re-paints! They look scary and awesome. The terrain add is also exceptional. Nice job!

For your superb paint job I posted a pic of the original. It's great to see the before and after and your after is way better. Now in fairness I do have a soft spot for those white trogs! Very different looking than what you'd expect.

Thanks for posting! Yes, I agree the stark whiteness of the original paint makes for an excellent trog mini, but happy you like the repaints!
