nextlevelminiatures wrote: Thu Sep 14, 2023 10:34 am Hey everyone, we're glad to see news of our new campaign has found it's way here!

If you all have any questions about it please let us know (we'll probably pop in and check every few days or so). You can also post them on the campaign page or to us directly at info@nextlevelminiatures.com.

We know we didn't live up to everyone's expectations the first time, but we've worked hard to incorporate your feedback and apply it to our new offerings. Reviews and feedback on our second campaign were overwhelmingly positive and we're still working to keep improving what we do to make these the best minis you can get for the price.
Welcome to the boards!!! Yes we are addicts of minis but also pretty decent critics but in a good way. :P
Question will the All in sets be options as Add-on sets (by set) within the PM or is it just the current Add-ons sets on your plan?

Great looking minis by the way.

Today's timed reveals:

Mercurial Wizard: A good, classic wizard. I do have a bunch of this type of mini(including many unpainted :P ), but I do like the design, and particularly his staff. :)

Boneless: A type of undead that's only skin, reminiscent of the Husk from Tome of Beasts 2, but less animated, stitched together, and propped up by a wooden stand. Not sure I personally like it as a creature, but I think this works well as a scenery piece instead. ;)

In the pledge manager we will have options for: additional All-In pledges, each encounter kit individually, all of the currently listed KS add-ons, and all of the new models will be available individually as well.

Thanks!

New reveals:

Image

Callous Troll: It's a nice looking troll with a loin cloth and a stone axe. Probably pretty sweet if you don't have a bunch of trolls already. (Personally, I have way too many! )

Cellar Door: The most beautiful combination of two words in the English language? Either way, this is a pretty nice, simple, little piece of scenery. One point of critique I have here though, is that there's floor boards around the frame as part of the piece, which means it'll look weird when added to non wooden floors. Would've preferred just the trapdoor and frame. But at worst I can just cut that away with a knife.

Giant Rot Grub: Nasty, little creature! I like it!

That's great! Because there's definitely stuff I'd want more of, without having to buy multiples of a set. :D

Individual mini availability is great. I’m sure I’ll get several of those blue drakes.

I’d love it if there were a few more drakes added to the campaign. Primarily ones reminiscent of Red, White, and Black (green and blue are available as PPM).

Yeah, that's one of the singles I'd get more of as well. Definitely also the Carrion Crawler.

If the tavern table had the food and drink items as separate pieces, I'd be getting a bunch of those. When they're part of the full sculpt, it quickly starts looking weird when every table in a building has got the exact same items in the exact same arrangement on them. :P

Another reveal today:

Image

Werebear: Well, it's a werebear! And still with some clothes on, which is nice. Personally, I have very little need for this, as I have several werebears, and never had the chance to use a single one of them. :P I like that you have the same guy in human form with the Gang Heavy in the tavern set. ;)

I think in the last feedback request that NLM sent out, I requested WereCreatures in all 3 forms. Humanoid, hybrid & animal.
What can you tell me about your plastic addiction?

Today's timed reveal:

Image

Zombie Trap: This is a neat, little piece. I'm not sure about how useful it is in practice, but I can imagine a couple of scenarios where it could be used. For example in a graveyard overrun by the undead, they could function as scenery. Or a corridor filled with these, making "difficult terrain" extra difficult(and deadly). ;) I like it, but it does have very limited use as far as I can see.

Thanks for the feedback on each reveal. We tried some new stuff this time around so depending on what people like or find useful we'll consider keeping as something to use in our toolkit.

Today's reveal:

Image

Basal Otyugh: Meant to be related to the Otyugh, and the connection is obvious, yet it's also certainly its own creature. Interesting! Having similar, but Medium sized sewer beasts at CR 1-2 could be very fun! I'm imagining using a swarm of these, too. So if the price is right, I might have to get multiples of this. :D

Stretch goal and reveals!

Image

Treasure Mimic($50k): Very cool mini, and definitely highly useful IMO! Can you imagine the heroes finding a room filled with treasure, and while they're basically Scrooge McDucking it, half a dozen of these guys start attacking?

Arrow Trap: Not just a pillar, which is what I was assuming! Definitely another useful piece! I wouldn't mind also having some regular pillars that looked identical, though. Then that could've been swapped out with these once the trap was revealed. Either, I hope it'll be 50mm tall, to work with most tile systems! (Or maybe that would require the holes with the spikes/arrow tips to be smaller?)

Hunter's Trap: A classic bear trap, which was obvious from the silhouette. Definitely a neat and practical piece of scenery! Personally already have some, so I don't need these. But they're a good addition!

UPCOMING STRETCH GOALS
NLM revealed some of the stretch goals we haven't gotten to yet.

Image

Young Cave Dragon($70k): This little dragon looks very nice! I'm really liking the general design. The wings are quite tiny though, but I suppose they're vestigial - this being a cave dragon. But really, if we unlock this I might be tempted to give it bigger wings. Not sure what colour I'd paint this though!

Otyugh Glutton($85k): Okay, here's a regular Otyugh too! And it's got a very nice, fat belly! This one definitely lives somewhere it gets a lot of food without having to share it. :P I think this is a fantastic Otyugh sculpt, and really hope we get it! :D 100% the Otyugh I'd use if it was kept by humanoids. (For cleaning their sewers or the like.)

Alright, so there are also some that are silhouettes. And this might've not been intentional by NLM(sorry, guys! :P ), but for three of them there's still some pixel colour variation left. So I did some quick PS magic, and we can see a bit of what these minis will actually look like:

Upper left ???: This one is still a complete silhouette. Maybe an Umber Hulk? But it looks like the left and right "hands" might be different from each other?
Upper right ???: Gelatinous Cube! This one was very obvious from its silhouette, though. And I'd be happy to get a new Gelatinous Cube, as the Wizkids one I have is too large to fit into 50mm wide corridors. (Why, Wizkids?!)
Lower left ???: I assumed this would be a lizard looking creature from the spiky back, and I was right: This looks like a Basilisk to me! But different from the one they already have?
Lower right ???: I've no idea what creature this is supposed to be, if any, but this cosmic horror should go well with my The Others minis! ;)
