Sea Wolf Mini Needed

Post by arbados »

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a sea wolf mini? There has been nothing made to date that I'm aware of and a search hasn't come up with anything as well. This would be a great mini to be made and is a classic creature.

Thanks.

I just tried searching on Etsy for 3D print models, and couldn’t find anything there.

I imagine the best option is to kitbash something with a Reaper Bones wolf mini and a shark mini (toy?) and some green stuff.

It's crazy there seems to be none made or available for this creature?!

I hate to kitbash minis unless they're ones, I really don't care for, but if there's NO option it may have to be done :( .

I actually think maybe the reaper winter wolf mini may be a better mini to kitbash with a shark, but both mini sizes would have to work and in truth I'd want the sea wolf to be large and this wolf is probably medium. Could be fun though!

I’m 95% certain that wolf mini pictured is Large. It’s larger than the old DDM winter wolf, if it’s the one I think it is (from Bones 4).

Wow, the complete and total lack of miniatures of any kind for this creature is surprising! I mean, it does seem like an extremely niche mini, being both a sea creature and a lycanthrope? But even so, you'd think someone would've taken a crack at it throughout the decades!

That said, I did find this STL file that could work? It doesn't seem to be intented as a miniature, but it definitely could be: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d ... wolf-26212

Otherwise, I think making your own out of other minis is the way to go.

Something like this? I found this one on Yeggi, which links to Thingiverse.

While these are technically alternate Bulette sculpts, they hold also work as a sea wolf if painted correctly

Indeed, would be easy to kitbash from a Seal and a Wolf, sadly we lack a good Seal mini. I guess one would have to use a PFB Bunyip for the body. The Wolf minis though more common today than DDMs days when they were costing a fortune, are still a bit expensive to be cannibalized though.
