3D Printing

Post by arbados »

I just received a 3D printer for my birthday. I was always interested in printing some minis and terrain on my own and now I have the ability. It in no way will impact my mini buying but will certainly supplement my collection.

I was wondering if any of you have experience with 3D printing and have suggestions or thoughts. I'm also hoping some of you know sites where you can download files to print. I'd like to start with some free files to simply test how it all works but am happy to search sites which have files for sale as well. I appreciate any assistance.

myminifactory.com
is probably the biggest that I know of.

drivethrurpg.com is another that has a lot of stuff in our area of interest.

You'll find some free stuff on both sites. Most is paid. Both of those places are where most STL Kickstarters do their fulfillment.

Do you have an FDM or a resin printer? That will guide the conversation a bit :).

Check out MZ4250. He has a ton of models, all free. He started out modeling the Monster Manual and branched out from there.
