Who is the woman with tentacles on left side?
Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Quests from the Infinite Staircase (Set 33)
Do you mean this one?
If so, that's an Eldritch Lich, which was included in one of the free Monstrous Compendiums for Spelljammer.

Yep! I mentioned it in the original post about the groupshot.
Much like how the Crabfolk in S&S2 was the first time Wizkids made a mini from the Fiend Folio, this is the first time they made a mini from a web supplement Monstrous Compendium Appendix. Hopefully this opens the road to more creatures from these, like the Clockwork Horror, Nightmare Beast, Irda , Traag Draconian or the Thanoi.

It's on Twitter too, so you can grab a better quality pic from there.
Gotta say the detail on even the small minis like the Vegepygmies is pretty awesome.
But yeah, as people already remarked, the Animated Rug of Smothering is really more like a Medium. The Sabertooth Tiger also looks a bit small, but - fun fact - even the largest Smilodon species was just 1 meter tall, so this being as big as the Tiger mini from Wild Shape & Polymorph set works out.

Good to know! I've long since sworn off Twitter, so Instragram is more my go to for Wizkids announcements like these.

Odd that the one Vegepygmy is on there twice.BBShockwave wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 12:41 pm It's on Twitter too, so you can grab a better quality pic from there.
Periodically adding miniatures and terrain to my Sales thread.

I look at that vegepygmy and all I can think of is...
Which isn't a bad thing at all, but it makes me chuckle.

LOL and ever since I have seen some Acolyte reviews, now I can only think of Darth Plagueis when I see Abe.
But yeah they have that look, especially with the funnel-shaped ponytail "hair" (more like moss). It's kind of a traditional look for Vegepygmies from as far back as the 1E adventure.
Btw if anyone has sharp eyes or a program, can try reading the bases - I can make out "Troll" on the underside of the Troll, but not the number.

I have never been able to log into instagram with my facebook account, it just never lets me, I tried with several... so I can only properly view posts there via a third site. And I just never understood the appeal of the place, much like Tumblr you can only post images, not comment on them, so what is the point of it?
Yeah, I noticed that too. Assumed at first it might be a third variant, but no.MyriadTabletop wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 1:33 pmOdd that the one Vegepygmy is on there twice.BBShockwave wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 12:41 pm It's on Twitter too, so you can grab a better quality pic from there.

Sounds like your Instagram is really messed up. You can post pictures, add text, comment, etc…all with much less toxicity and silliness than X/twitter ever had!BBShockwave wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 5:35 pmI have never been able to log into instagram with my facebook account, it just never lets me, I tried with several... so I can only properly view posts there via a third site. These guys are my favorite vegepygmies of all time. I have one set, and need to get a few more if they’re still available.

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Quests from the Infinite Staircase (Set 33)
So, GallantGoblin (Theo) was at Gencon and did an interview at the Wizkids booth!
They showed him both the 50th Anniversary set, Vecna: Eve of Ruin, and Quests from the Infinite Staircase, as well as PFB: Armies of the Dead and others.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbhDflOfclI
So, the sides of the boosters revealed the names of 8 minis - though we knew most of these: -Combat Robot
-Wolf-in-Sheep's-Clothing
-Mind Flayer Scientist
-Chasme
-Fire Elemental Myrmidon
-The Gardener
-Thorny Vegepygmy
-Chuul
I was also able to glean some numbers thanks to the transparent bases:
21 or 24/45 Githyanki Futurist - Medium Uncommon
26 or 25/45 Rug of Smothering - Large Uncommon
27/45 Minotaur - Large Uncommon
28/45 Saber-Toothed Tiger - Large Uncommon
31/45 Clay Golem - Large Uncommon
We also saw the Froghemoth Elder, and maaaan this is a massive mini! Gargantuan base with a Huge circle on it. Certainly bigger than the DotMM one.

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Quests from the Infinite Staircase (Set 33)
The fact that sets 31 (august 21st), 32 and 33 plus Armies of the Dead are all produced and in stock and we havn't seen any minis of set 34, will likely push the later to 2025.
