Pathfinder Battles: Armies of the Dead (Set #25)
Re: Pathfinder Battles: Armies of the Dead (Set #25)
The Larges in this set make it really easy to pull the trigger on a brick and some extra blind boosters. There's not a single one that I'd be disappointed with; that's so key with a set. There's nothing worse than pulling a mediocre Large from a blind booster.

Yeah, i'll be ordering 2 bricks, the Goldako and the Death Coach and pick up some of the rares from auggies.

GallantGoblin (Theo) toured GenCon, and he made an interview with Wizkids!
A lot of the minis of this set have been shown, too!

Btw, Inkdmage got a brick of this set too, he told me, and will be uploading a review soon.

The Rares he got are the Tanglebones, Harlo Krant, and the Siabre.
Also a review of the three premium minis too.

Re: Pathfinder Battles: Armies of the Dead (Set #25)
The more I see of this set the more I fall in love with it. I have plenty of undead minis, but these are so well done. I want so many of the rares that I might end up looking for a case even though I just play 5e. The details on these minis are fantastic compared to quality on other sets.

The paint job on a lot of these figures seems like a step up in quality. Been really pleased with the previews as well.
Sad Gamenerdz sold out of the carriage before I could budget the pre order next month, but should be able to pick up a brick and then hunt down the singles over time.

Gamenerdz will have more when the set releases. They always do.

Re: Pathfinder Battles: Armies of the Dead (Set #25)
I am still on the fence about getting a whole brick, or buying singles. I could use pretty much every mini in this set, and some I would want multiples of - however, we are getting like one Icons of the Realms set every month, as well..

The camera is just terrible really. The video totally pales in comparison to the one from inkdmage.Malroth wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 10:14 am Band of Badgers did an unboxing of a brick.

By the way the necrohulk smasher looks like a copy of https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Thisobald_Thorm .
Not sure really who copied whom.

Minsc - there are many games using such designs, or comics and movies. I think he was mostly inspired by Bane, though. The Van Helsing games have enemies like the Nectohulk too.
Btw I recommend a little known polish movie called Frankenstein’s Army that has tons of weird and innovative Flesh Golem / undead creature designs. Insomuch that Resident Evil Village straight up stole them!

The Necrohulk was published in an Adventure Path that released Nov 2022, almost a year before BG3 came out. I think to the other point it's a pretty common design idea, but certainly not a copy.minsc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 12:03 am By the way the necrohulk smasher looks like a copy of https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Thisobald_Thorm .
