I have a mystery piece that seems to have been intentionally stapled to the female giant.

It is clearly different plastic....almost without question came from a 3d printer. Anybody else have this and have any idea what it is for? I can't figure out any way it can interact with her....and otherwise its pretty non-descript. Kinda just looks like a hair. Two glue contact points.

It’s an extra support for her hair and the one skirt tassel that’s whipping away from her body. It’s because her hair is kinda heavy, and her legs are relatively skinny. One part of the 3D print has an inverse mortar line on it, which will help you find where it is supposed to sit on the steps of her base.

Will reaper release these minis at a later date or are they KS'er exclusive. I pledged for one Reaper KS'er which was great, but I didn't this time as I felt I had enough unpainted minis. However, as KS'ers go you receive the pledge so much later and I didn't anticipate maybe when they were shipped, I'd need more to paint....which I do  !

The only KS exclusives I can think of are the watch tower and the prepainted dragon. I believe all the rest are planned to release in retail.

Of course things that drastically undersell in the KS or have production issues have been cancelled before they became available, but the bulk should be online sometime un the next 12-18 months.

The storm giant and 30th anniversary dragon are KS exclusive according to the campaign page....the storm giant is one of the better models in all of Bones 6 in my opinion. I haven't assembled the 30th anniversary dragon yet, but if it is as good as the other one its going to be a standout of this Bones also.

IIRC, it’s only the lich/dread knight rider of the 30th anniversary dragon add-on that’s KS exclusive. The dragon itself is not.

Now that I have almost the whole KS, here are my highs and lows:

High: Both dragons are massive and look great, but I think Chaarondar is my favourite - great pose, and on a gargantuan base, much larger than I anticipated,. Pretty good value for $16!

Low: The Green Griffon expansion. The various bar folk are pretty cool, but there's not a ton included. And the various bar pieces are super plain, especially the bar itself. Super underwhelming.

High: The gargantuan fairy dragon. That thing is WAY bigger than expected and absolutely gorgeous. Especially the translucent wings!

Low: the gargantuan scarab folk sand peddler. The legs are posed really weirdly and don't touch the ground, so it's just kind of floating on its little pedestal. Which sucks, because with a proper pose it would be a super cool miniature. Maybe I can fix it, but I dunno - it seems pretty janky.

High: Those wyverns are fantastic! The poses are great, and even though they are on large bases (as they should be), they are properly massive and intimidating.

Low: As others have mentioned, most of the the Tombs of Hakir gods can't be removed from their base. That sucks - they would be super cool to use in battles but now they are just statues. How hard would it have been to have the top of the statues, where their lower body attaches, removable so it could double as a base? Big fail, Reaper.

High: Horror of the Slaughterwaller: I know someone else's were badly printed, making them useless, but mine were perfect and are super cool sculpts, in a properly horrific way. I hope Reaper is able to make good on the ones they screwed up.

Low: The different coloured plastics (non-translucent): These felt like lower quality plastic, and for what? Am I just going to put the fire newts on the table unpainted because they are red? Ridiculous. They are all getting primed and painted anyway, so just stick with the Bones Black plastic.

High: The Shadows of Sullenhall expansion in its entirety. That skeleton giant is an awesome miniature, the crypt and various graveyard pieces are extremely useful, and all of the miniatures in the set look good.

Low: The lighthouse. It just doesn't make sense. I like the tower by itself okay, but the top awning looks dumb, and the watchtower conversion kit looks ridiculous and is extremely impractical. What a disappointment.

High: I really like a lot of the add-ons, but the owlbear one with the nest and cubs is adorable.

I’m almost finished painting my lighthouse and I tend to agree with you on it. The guard tower conversion kit seems like such a cash grab scam that I am super disappointed in Reaper. I feel like I just gave them cash for a warped unusable string of plastic.

It took probably 30 minutes for me to seperate those gods from the big podium bases

A pain and the bases don’t look as perfect as they would have if they were just produced separately

I am also not a fan of most of the dwarves. For som reason Reaper put big oval bases on them that look impossible to remove. Adding a round base to these makes said dwarves too tall

You could use Wizkids bases - they're so thin that they don't really add any height. Though I mostly just go with the sculpted bases as they are; I don't care much if the miniature has a regulation base.

Now that I think about it, it's kinda weird that Reaper supplies such chunky bases, given that all their miniatures are designed with chunky skateboards already. Steamforged does that, too, so a lot of their Epic encounters miniatures are too big because they effectively have a double-stacked base.

Thinking more on the Lighthouse, and while the tower itself is a disappointment, or at least the top of it is, the base is fantastic and almost worth the price by itself. I am totally going to integrate it into my docks builds. And then there's the giant walrus, which I do love. So overall I guess I'm happy to have it.

I will have to work on converting those Tombs of Hakir miniatures. I'd like to do it in a way that keeps the option to use them on the pedestals, but that might take some serious skill. Which I probably lack.

Agreed that the base is fantastic. I plan to paint it up the same as my Red Harvest terrain, so I can integrate it into Warcry board set-ups. Almost makes me wish I’d ordered more than two.

I’ll probably try to make an XPS foam ‘rock’ base to fit under the lighthouse base, to give it more height.

Appreciate the pics and the writeups, Clint! :D

And nice way to use the lighthouse parts outside of their intended build, KSB! :D
