D&D Icons of the Realms - Tracking Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat and other Promo Miniatures
Re: D&D Icons of the Realms - Tracking Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat and other Promo Miniatures
Since I don’t know if he will be restocked, went ahead and got Krampus (and Takhisis, which I just recently found out that existed) on ebay, after some research seems like good prices.

You should probably check out the promo page in the gallery. Icons has a decent list and some really cool ones. Pricing will probably be horrendous though if you can find them.

I just saved a ton of money by switching to a purchasing freeze. Currently on track to keep my wife and be spoiled again later.

Got all the promos from 2023 to now, not really interested in the ones before 2023.

If it wasn’t for the black bases
I can tolerate black bases on dark minis that go on dungeons, but white minis that go on (white) snow terrain?
God, no

I still have a spare set of these, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, know-what-I-mean?
They are easy to remove and you can just buy a few 1$ Goblins or some other Small cheap Common to rebase them to!

I’m not quite as confident about that. Taking them off the bases is easy, but putting them on different bases requires additional work if you really want them securely fastened.C4bal wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:43 amThat’s a tempting sales pitchBBShockwave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:31 am I still have a spare set of these, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, know-what-I-mean?

Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

I often have minis that are coming off the base, I find that superglue like Loctite does the job reliable and lastingly. I mean, I have used that to rebase some MK minis (I know, I know, BLAM! Heresy! ) and never had to re-glue them again.

Also there’s some new promo minis available on both WizKids and DnDMini:
They stack with the other promos, at least I was able to grab a frosty the snowman with my WizKids order.

Answering my own question: WizKids doesnt have a booth at PAX Unplugged at all this year. After their impressive presence at this con (the only major con I can attend) in previous years I’m downright glum that they have ditched PAX of all cons…

That's weird. That's really close by for them.
This is too expensive.

Slightly annoyed comment.
Can you keep calling it a promo when we just have to pay for it?

It's a promotional item. "Free" isn't part of the definition, though we've been conditioned to implicitly expect it. They should call it an exclusive or limited offer instead if they're charging for it.
