Please use this thread for asking about miniatures which you are trying to identify.
Posting pictures would be significantly helpful.

Help Identifying Miniatures Thread
Hey all. I am looking for a Mage Knight expert to get the name of a figure that I bought years ago and rebased.
The figure is a robed (gray color) desert nomad looking guy standing on a flying carpet (with a flying stand of smoke or something).
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help Identifying Mage Knight Mini
I don't know much about Mage Knight minis, but with the use of my google-fu I found this:
https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... -291258905
Referenced in it is:
Dark Riders:
#090 Galeshi Sorcerer (this guy's on a flying carpet)
So I am guessing that this is your guy?

Mage Knight expert, eh? I'm really surprised this post didn't instantly summon BB Shockwave.
That's a really cool looking mini for what it's worth. Would you happen to have a 2nd one you'd like to trade away?

LOL! Indeed I knew the mini, but you beat me to it. Unfortunately cannot check the forum as often as I want since my office proxy now blocks it.
Yeah that is the Galeshi Sorcerer, IMHO a far better flying carpet wizard than the Wizard of Turmish.

BB, can you try a quick experiment for me when you are next at work.BBShockwave wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 12:03 am Unfortunately cannot check the forum as often as I want since my office proxy now blocks it.
Can you go to the Role 4 Miniatures site, and click the Forum link at the bottom of the screen and let me know if that allows you to access it?
Thanks.
(I would have sent you a PM, but its not always easy to see the inbox message alert).

Re: Help Identifying Mage Knight Mini
Thanks - yeah I often miss that little icon too about PMs, and for some reason I get no email notification.
No, this is a new thing actually... before that, I could access at least some parts of the site. Now, nothing - I get an instablock. Not just this site, everything Websense classifies as "Entertainment" gets blocked, from my favourite Transformers websites to D&D's webpage, IMDB, etc. Oddly I can still access Wizkids' webpage.
I already raised this to my boss given how we had no official communication on this, and it feels harsh and unnecessary. Thankfully we are moving to a new office in January so I am hoping we get a better proxy there... In the meantime, I check the forum via my Iphone.

Re: Help Identifying Mage Knight Mini
Here is a thought... I have yet to find a good page for identifiying Mage Knight minis.
http://www.mageknight.net/ is maybe the best, as well as http://www.miniaturetrading.com/im/sele ... game_id/26 - but neither is comprehensive and the photos they have are usually stock tiny pics.
I have a buttload of MK minis, including some pretty rare ones, if Kor would feel it could be useful to make a database for them on Minisgallery similar to D&D and the others, I'm happy to take photos of them for this.

A Mage Knight database would be absolutely awesome and something which is really lacking anywhere I've looked on the internet (at least a really good comprehensive one). Unfortunately for the database all my Mage Knight minis have been rebased.

Sure, I would be interested in adding them to MinisGallery.BBShockwave wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 3:30 am Here is a thought... I have yet to find a good page for identifiying Mage Knight minis.

Many years ago I bought a bunch and it did find it challenging to find pictures for the minis. Still to this day I see people talking about Make Knight minis which I have never heard of or seen before. It would be great to have them all available at MinisGallery.
I need to get set info on all of them, and I think this site seems to have a good amount:
http://www.mageknight.net/checklists/
If there are other links I should be looking at for set information, please let me know.

Re: Help Identifying Mage Knight Mini
If needed you can always get pictures of most miniatures through Troll and Toad. They're pretty good with having pics even if it's not in stock!
You should, if you have the time, get these other mini lines on the site. It would draw more attention to the site as well be awesome for us!

Re: Help Identifying Mage Knight Mini
Kor - I think I have most of the minis from many later sets, but my collection of the first three sets is rather small - often because I rather bought the cheaper re-paints from the later sets that re-used the same minis.
How do you like photos, using a white background, completely from the side so the base top isn't visible?

Sadly as I found out when I actually gotten some of the minis in hand, Troll and Toad uses stock images for MK and often they re-use the same for all variants. (MK regular minis have *, ** and *** variants, and often they have different paint jobs, translucent parts, etc).arbados wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 1:49 am If needed you can always get pictures of most miniatures through Troll and Toad.
