Bad? I’d say it was small. It works icely as a flying version of the Aspect of Tiamat from War of the Dragon Queen.

Honestly, I only have the new gargantuan overpriced version. So I decided to finally buy this version since the upcoming one is yet again over priced. Now I never need to look at another tiamat product.

Bad? I’d say it was small. It works icely as a flying version of the Aspect of Tiamat from War of the Dragon Queen.

I am just going from pics and seeing my buddies briefly.
I remember a dopey toy look. 4 individually molded plastic coloured heads, stuck onto a red dragon body, so there was no colour blending.
And the cheap old brittle flight stands.

If I am remembering it right....ya. it ia bad.

And as for size, i think the size was proper for the base.
We are getting all these oversized minis that can clearly reach way beyond the size of the base. I HATE THAT.
It breaks the mechanic and pushes my "suspention of disbelief".
Playing with "toys" of different size scale that are not meant to go togther just looks and feels bad.

This goes back to playing as a kid where you would try to play with all your different action figures and vechiles, but the size scales were all different..... it's just too childish for me.

Mini scale to base size is important!

I like the old ones darker body. The new Tiamat being mostly a red dragon with the other heads as an add on, doesnt look as unique.
As if tiamat is a red dragon first, instead of a unique god of all evil dragons.

Well according to Fizban's lore that the dragon's believe as their own creation myth, that kinda was the idea. That Tiamat originally had one head. She gained the others after she went mad with hateful rage.

I agree. My preferred design of her is the one from Dungeon Magazine 272, where she really looks like the Chromatic Dragon:

I will speak as long as I have something to say. Every post has had a valid point, including that using lore to explain why a mini has low quality sculpt and paint, is nonsense.

Was in FLGS this weekened and saw 2 of these inperson. ($80CAN.....BOOOO!)
I guess canada still hasnt gotten the memo yet that a new huge tiamat is coming.

Anyone swap out the flight stand on this one?
