Not that subtle. I think the original is a pretty good PPM (in general, WK does a good job with their translucent miniatures). But the changes that you made are a vast improvement. You've picked out the retinas, teeth, etc. to make them pop, you've applied a bit of a dry brush to make it feel more organic, you've added a heavy gloss coat to make it look like ooze rather than coloured plastic, and you've re-based it and painted up the terrain into red brick. I think that last choice is particularly effective in setting up a strong contrast between the terrain and Juiblex. Overall, you took a solid PPM and made it spectacular. Bravo!
