Heroscape is back! - Age of Annihilation
Or so it seems, HasbroPulse just dropped a trailer that briefly shows some nice looking minis.

This is awesome super excited for this. Heroscape was the start of my mini collecting since I got that game before I knew about the D&D minis. When I first started playing D&D after being invited to try it out my friend’s family didn’t have minis. So I brought my heroscape minis unknowing that my D&D mini addiction was about to start.

Interested. It's more promising news than my own pipe dream where the best chance 'Scape had to come back was as an add-on to HeroQuest...QuestScape? I dunno, bad idea. This is better.
This is too expensive.

Well that’s unexpected……

Never played.
But looks 10x more interesting than the D&d miniature thing they are making. I love me big box sets, nifty hex terrain, and expansion stuff.

Ah, the days of going into Toys'R Us weekly waiting for them to stock their exclusive Heroscape Stuff.
Fun times.
Don't be surprised in the least to see Wal-Mart AND Target exclusives if they go at it the way they did last time.
GREAT minis though. Need to be re-based as they are 1.5 inch, but that's always doable.
NOTE - Those are LED lit heroscape tiles...................

Well, disappointingly, seems these will be unpainted (so with that, I moved it to the unpainted forum). Minis will have different colored bases depending on faction. Not much other news.

I came into collecting too late to ever get Heroscape. I only became aware of it when they started using D&D sculpts, but probably due to them being exclusives, the sets with the Black Dragon (cheapest way to grab that mold) sold out really fast.
Other minis though, were so cheap I managed to get a lot of them, including those cyborg Wolves and robot Rats, and all their large Dragons like Mimring who work well as Linnorm stand-ins.

Unpainted? Are they crazy?
Straight to the clearance bin on this most likely. It won't ever get carried in Wal-Mart/Target like that.

LOL this gets even worse. Not only unpainted, but the whole thing is a kickstarter? Did they think that many people remember Heroscape and would pay 250$ for this?

The minis and factions are also all brand new. I am not saying they are not interesting -there are a lot of cool looking ones - but if you reboot an old franchise, might be worth to make it remotely like the original?
Or rather, they did bring back some, except they are all stretch goal minis.
Total - including stretch goals:
71 miniatures
50 army cards
74 hex tile terrain pieces
68 Laur wall terrain pieces
3 Laur tree pieces
6 Laur underbrush pieces
12 combat dice
1 20-sided die
10 glyphs
26 wound markers
12 tiny wound markers
16 order markers
Updated rulebook
Dryan Lifeborne Order - nature power using mages and their summoned familiar beasts. Nemesis War Brood - basically the Zerg. Less unique minis, more used in groups. Dawn Raider Syndicate - basically space pirates, very varied faction of many designs and colors. Clockwork Combine - best way to describe them is steampunk anthro critters, I guess! Ironclad Collective - I could most describe them as the Borg meets Hellraiser? Stretch Goals:

I might have to pick up those space pirates for Starfinder.

Fun stuff, but unpainted is a non-starter for me.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.
Re: Heroscape is back! - Age of Annihilation
Almost word-for-word what I was planning on posting as I scrolled through the images.
Current PPM wishlist: Barlgura, Bronze Scout, Cultist/Cult Fanatic, Gnoll Witherling, Hezrou, Nonaton, Rug of Smothering, Stone Defender,

I mean, not to be too catty, but we are in the unpainted miniatures forum.

Re: Heroscape is back! - Age of Annihilation
That was more an expectation by me that because the old heroclix were pre-painted that this revival should have been the same.
I look at the minis, and some of them are very cool. I wonder if the ballon will stay upright, but it is a great mini. But heroclix sure has been downgraded in my book since they elected to go with monochromatic plastic…
