That’s totally fair, I was being a bit facetious. Before I started painting I would have felt the same way. The themes are all over the place but these are good sculpts overall I think.berk the black wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:27 am That was more an expectation by me that because the old heroclix were pre-painted that this revival should have been the same.
I look at the minis, and some of them are very cool. I wonder if the ballon will stay upright, but it is a great mini. But heroclix sure has been downgraded in my book since they elected to go with monochromatic plastic…

Just for fun, I added poll to gauge what people's interest level is with the Heroscape project:

If I ever had a login over there, it's long lost, but holy crap that one reply is spot on - they do look like MiMP.
This is too expensive.

Yep, didn’t take the poll since it required yet another account.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

So, 11 days to go, and not even half the funding done. 3700 from a 8000 goal. I see this going the way of the Ghost Rider car, that also barely hit 55% of the funding needed.
Thanks, I voted! Not many people seem interested and even among those, prepainted was the preferred one.Kor wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 10:10 pm Just for fun, I added poll to gauge what people's interest level is with the Heroscape project:

This died and it wasn't surprising at all.
Few people are willing to pay that much for a product they remember costing a fraction of what they wanted before, especially when the new product is half of the old (unpainted)

Ya, I was excited about this because I loved the original when I was little. However, after seeing what was included in the new product I was not impressed. The sculpts didn't seem to improve and with it being unpainted as well I ended up losing interest. Hopefully, Hasbro doesn't give up on Heroscape entirely because I still look at the original game with rose-tinted glasses. Ideally, they reevaluate the product by offering more for the price like having the minis painted, including more minis and terrain, or alternatively lower the price to something more affordable and reasonable.

I had hopes for the terrain. Oh well.
This is too expensive.
