Hydra MSRP is $49.99. So basically they are asking $10 per hydra head. I wonder how much more they would want to get the rest of the hydra?

Oof! Well, that kinda killed the hydra desire...
I mean, I get the idea, but... just oof to that design.

This is so far, another Witchlight for me. Looking at the weird mutated creatures on the special set side, none interest me. That flesh thing looks like something I’d expect from Pathfinder, like the Inrakurse.
The main booster side at least has something I never expected to see again - proper dark grey skinned Drow Priestess in actually Drow-like armor, am I dreaming?
But a mutant Otyugh…. Well unless I can use it as a Neo-Otyugh maybe. Crystal Grick I suppose works as a creature from the elemental plane of Earth.
The description mentions Ettin Ceremorphs, so maybe the Large monsters from Bigby’s came here?
Hydra is a travesty. Would happily pay 50$ for a Hydra… a FULL Hydra. This is half a Hydra. I could just say these are 5 Sea Serpents or Giant Snakes. I disliked this pose with the PFB Chuthulhu too. I mean even the Onslaught Froghemoth is more emerged from the water.
Also I feel Wizkids is really overdoing the schedule. We had almost nothing for half a year, then they cram in 3 sets into Q4 of the year? And we know Planescape is coming mext Year…
But they did not need to avoid it, 5E Hydras have 4 feet, we have art proof of that.

I actually like the Hydra. I think it ought to be $25, but a Hydra actally in water? Then again, since I paint minis, I also have many places to get Hydra minis from, so I don't have to worry about getting this or that kind of Hydra as a prepaint. So to me, this would be a nice variation to have, and one I've only seen one other place, as a mechanical beast, and in a much smaller scale.
Definitely understand the sentiments of the rest of you, though!

Neat, nice to get confirmation of this set.
I am a little conflicted on the Hydra. On the one hand, Polukranos is a pretty sweet Hydra mini as it is, so it's nice to have this one be more distinct in its design. On the other hand, it's hard to disagree with the notion that we're only getting "half" a hydra. Having even half its body emerging from the water might have made this more appealing.
I'm not sure, I think I'm going to sway back and forth on this one!
I look forward to seeing what else is in the set though.
EDIT: Also - Set 30? Possible soft confirmation of a Planescape set between Seas & Shores and Shattered Obelisk then?

New collector building up his Icons sets one case at a time.

Sea & shores was renumbered, so I think it's possible this one gets the same treatment. The safe bet is planescape is the missing #

Missed opportunity for a fully modular hydra.
I would be into one that detaches at the waist to be in water and also have variable heads.

Otyughs are my favorite monster so I fully endorse this set. Especially since it’s not just a plain otyugh reprint.

Those Hydra heads look great but without at least half the body, I think that one will be a pass for me
Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (Set 30)
I honestly like pretty much everything here. I don’t need any more drow, so that’s a skip, but yup I’m on board.
Of course…here we are, all of Sea and Shore known, a few of Phandelver, and still no complete set list for Bigby. WizKids should really look at getting their crap in one sock.
