Agreed. I love the sculpts in the Kobold Warband, and I don't mind having more of them.
One thing I do wish was done, but apart from that one ToD Kobold Soldier, was never done since 5E came out, is Kobolds with different scale colors. Would be nice to have some brown on blue ones to represent other tribes. I think Volo's guide has a list of possible scale colors.
berk the black wrote: Tue Nov 14, 2023 2:28 pm That’s a lot of duplicate stuff. I wonder what the price point would be. I think I’d want the dragon egg clutch the most. I really don’t need another Huge Red Dragon at this point, but at least it is a new sculpt.
I only managed to finally get the AtG Elder Red Dragon last month, and with that and Ignia from the Kansaldi set, I still only have 4 Huge Red Dragons. I could certainly use a 5th to represent a proper family reunion (with Balagos and the Colossal Red as the parents). :D

I just wanted to mention that too, great minds think alike!

I think, but am not positive, the bulk of other than red colored kobolds came from Pathfinder Battles. Even then there aren't a ton.

The stalagmites and columns are kind of a bust for me. I have the original set and have yet to use them. Even at $65 a dragon and some eggs isn"t very compelling

Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

This one will come down to the 4 map tiles and what they look like.

I hope they are like the Mindflayer ones, shaped and on thick stock.

Blown up here. I'm quite happy.

I totally disagree with all the price complaints.
Come on!

Three dogs in a trenchcoat is $200 for a single medium mini.
This dragon at $100 is a sweet cheap amazing deal in comparison!

Agree.... the only that interests me the egg nest to be honest.

That is $200 on secondary market for a mini Wizkids sell for $10. The Kobold Warband was released at the height of the price gouging and should have been a $25-30 set, the terrain should be around $25, so you are left with a $50 huge dragon and 4 map tiles, not a good deal. Maybe in 6-12 months they will bundle the Adventure in a Box sets for a good price.

After doing some graphic comparisons with the minis and base height/thickness, I am quite certain that this dragon is only large sized. The base dimensions on WizKids' renders has been pretty accurate in the past, so I think we can reasonably rely on them to help judge scale.

Oddly enough, a large based red dragon is of more interest to me. Still, this needs to be half price or less before I would consider it.

I agree that a large base is more attractive -- paint issues aside, I have the F&T Red Dragon and don't need another huge one. A large, though, could definitely see the table. I'd be tempted to grab this box on sale, but not for 100 USD

Whether it’s large or huge, that’s a great sculpt. I’ll look for the single on eBay. I’ve got plenty of kobolds and the sets overpriced.

Maybe we will get sets for the other dragons & lairs.

You are 100% correct on the size, Kor.
The d&d 5e young dragon is large, not huge and those Kobolds are on small bases, not medium ones.
There is also no white ring visible on the base.

The price would be too high for a huge, but for a large it is laughable.

I have bought two Elder Brain sets back in the day and also have some of the Kobolds from the Kobold Warband.
I also have lots of large (and huge) red dragons.
I don't need a medium egg or a large pile of gold for $100.

The Fang and Talon Young Red Dragon was garbage, so in that way I am happy to see another red dragon put out...hopefully wizkids doesn't make another cheap mini by using unpainted red plastic and just putting a wash on it.

I am interested in the large dragon for around $20, but have no interest in the box set.

There is none higher.
