Man, that hellwasp looks good. I wonder how it’ll look past the render stage.

Hellwasp, cornugon, and another Abishai? Insta-brick purchase for me!
Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Vecna: Eve of Ruin (Set 32)
This will make five sets this year without huge minis in them. It makes me wonder what the future of huge minis in boosters will be going forward.

And wow, that Miska miniatures is stellar! I haven't been this excited for a set since Boneyard/Descent into Avernus

Glad they're back to $19.99.
Just a matter of time until they go to $24.99.

@Vexwing
This set is the smallest amount of molds we've seen at 40, will this trend continue?
(I didn't include the 3 huge figures sold outside of the blind boosters)

All of them look nice. Feels too soon for another red Abishai when we only got the white in a special pack. Most happy for a Tasha that is NOT in a $750 collector box..
Check out my BUY LIST in the Selling group!

This set as some interest from me as the Rod of Seven parts is classic.
Will prob pick up pieces from the set as of the main classic needs.
Miska would be very nice to add to my collection along with a few of them wolf-spider demons to go with her.

Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Vecna: Eve of Ruin (Set 32) & Miska the Wolf-Spider
Oh yeeeesssss...
Vecna himself (or an Avatar,) Horned Devil, Red Abishai, Hellwasp... this is Descent into Avernus 2 all again, and that was my favorite IotR set!
Miska looks awesome. Interesting, then Set 32 comes with him as the Premium mini, and the Bone Roc and Spiderdragon are separate releases, unassociated? Maybe it is the same like the Adult Time Dragon being attached to Planescape but not having the same art and text as that set...
At any rate, this will be a good year for D&D minis, this is already a very promising set.
I wonder who the necromancer guy in white is... There is Tasha too, I am betting we get Alustriel and Mordenkainen as well.
The one at the bottom is probably a Spyder-Fiend, but I am unsure what the strange insectoid-bear thing could be.

I do have to echo the issue that a set having just 40 minis brings, though. If we continue to have 8 boosters in a brick, that means again, a LOT of duplicates like in Planescape. That on the other hand, will most likely bring down the prices of the singles on the secondary market for Uncommons and Commons, since there will be a lot of surplus. That is of course a good thing for those buying, not so much for those trying to sell the surplus minis from the set.

I think he is a dude - was the consort of the Queen of Chaos. I wonder if she will make an appearance too in the adventure - though she is someone even Vecna would probably not cross.

Longtime lurker, first time poster coming out of hiding to say I'm super excited for this set! Also they've now officially violated the "exclusivity" of Collector's Editions by putting Tasha in this set - wonder if this means other CE resculpts are on the table?

Well, not exactly, since that Tasha is a very different design. It's not the same sculpt. And they have done this before, since the exclusive CE minis for the Ravenloft set were Ezmeralda D'Avenir and Rudolph Van Richten, who already had miniatures before in Curse of Strahd, Monster Menagerie 1 and Nolzur's.MudkipOnABike wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 3:12 pm Longtime lurker, first time poster coming out of hiding to say I'm super excited for this set! I think that specific Tasha sculpt will remain behind the CE gate, but that does not mean she can never get a new mini.

I think resculpts were always on the table.MudkipOnABike wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 3:12 pm Longtime lurker, first time poster coming out of hiding to say I'm super excited for this set! Re: D&D Icons of the Realms: Vecna: Eve of Ruin (Set 32) & Miska the Wolf-Spider
Well, in an ideal world, this set would have a Common White and Black Abishai, given the low CR of those two...

Same here! But just a personal pet peeve, I think the 5E Horned Devil is not the Cornugon. In both appearance (humanoid face, no scales, uses a war fork), abilities, and especially personality (good fighters but lazy and unmotivated) they are more like the 1E Malebranche (who came back again in 4E as War Devils). The Monster Manual even calls them as Malebranche.LonelyScarecrow wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 1:44 pm Hellwasp, cornugon, and another Abishai? Insta-brick purchase for me!
Sadly, in the 10 years 5E has been out, we got some new Devils in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, but we have not gotten an 5E Cornugon (and not sure what they would call them in non-baatorian). Pity as we only have 2 Cornugon minis, the Blood War one and the PFB Deadly Foes one.
Well, we do have a Nolzur's one, you can check that one! It seems to be identical in pose to this mini.DnDYuan-Ti wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 1:34 pm Man, that hellwasp looks good. I wonder how it’ll look past the render stage.
