Thiemtwork (Germany)

Post by BBShockwave »

I am curious about this store (thanks to bjornsundell for the info). They have good prices on cases as far as I can see, and shipping one to Hungary would only be 15€.
Anyone has any experience with them?

Seems they do not have Fangs and Talons listed for preorder yet, though. So maybe they only list things once the get them?

Thanks for the post. No experience, unfortunately.

Germany is interesting for me as well, being relatively near and in the EU. Their singles prices are not great but not terrible either, from a European point of view at least. That's not to say they don't feel a bit too expensive for my taste, but that's how it goes now. Some of the rares are just crazy.

I bought several things from them and can say they (or besser say he) are reliable.
Bought mostly the wardlings minis, some singles and monster cards.

Also he is on ebay too: https://www.ebay.de/usr/mrbrave1

Some prices for singles are in deed insane. This is why I usually import singles from US.
But the packed products he sells for average prices.

This leads to the fun fact that the Loxodon Cleric as single is there 21,50 EUR (on ebay), while the packed starter set with 5 minis including the loxodon cleric costs 20,50 EUR. On ebay he has also for the sets the pick list articles where the loxodon is 25,50 EUR

Thanks Dragomir! I take it from that "besser" instead of better you are german then yourself? ;-)
I will try my luck and see if I can get a Boneyard case from them. Do you have experience with how they list cases? They do not seem to have preorders, just in stock options. So that means they will only list them once the sets are released? Since they do not have Fangs and Talons listed yet, for example.

Yes, living in Hamburg.
Sometimes I have the impression my device replaces English words with similar German words.

Fangs and Talons you can now preorder:
https://mtgandmore.de/epages/835.sf/de_ ... ts/MI39926

All preorders you can find here:
https://mtgandmore.de/epages/835.sf/de_ ... Kategorie5

I never ordered cases of Icons since I already have such a big collection of minatures and only pick up singles that I want to add. Bought many boosters of the pre-2010 minatures though.

Heh, that happened to me too sometimes - and I myself often confused stuff like "have" and "habe", since I learned german first and english only later. :D
Ah thanks, I did not manage to find the preorders before. I will likely try my luck with Orcus or the Gargantuan Black Dragon, since I am starting to lose my patience with Jedishop's constant delays and lack of communication...

Just a heads-up, I asked Oliver and he said preorders for the Adult Blue/Green Dragons and Kobold Warband should be up in a week or so.

Posting this from Thiemtwork's facebook page:
D&D Icons of the Realms Boneyard Update
Next week Tuesday (May 4th) the time has finally come. We will then receive the new D&D set and we will start delivering the pre-orders.
As already announced, there is a little something to do with it.
Anyone who pre-orders a booster case (4x WZK96036) will receive an Orc Skeleton Promo Box (WZK96042) with their case.
This promotion is a free promotion from Wizkids. The quantities of these promo boxes are very limited.
So yeah, basically anyone who preordered a case will get a free Orc Skeleton promo box! As it was intended! :D
Makes my decision to continue preordering from them just the more certain. I am gonna get the Snowbound case from them as well, and likely buy the Mammoth Rider from DnDMinis to get the other exclusive (Bugbear or Hobgoblin set, who knows which).

I have had mixed experiences with the Thiemt guy in the past. Nothing really bad, but some attempts at overpricing products or listing products as in stock that are not yet available. On the other hand, he actually seems to get some stuff earlier than most local gaming stores in the EU.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

It is a good place to buy cases, but not for singles as most of them are really overpriced.

They should probably update their webpage to send the tracking number once they send the products.

Yeah, it was odd that the tracking number did not get displayed on the order page, nor did I get an email about it until a while after the shipping notification. Also curiously despite being sent with DHL the package got given over to the regular post office for delivery, despite DHL having a service in Hungary.

My case arrived, and gotta say I really recommend this shop. :)
They packed things expertly and sent the case in its own factory cardboard box within another box, and cushioned the rest of the space with those nylon air bubble bags. So nothing was creased or bent. Really good job!
And once again, got my Orc Skeletons for free!

Singles are pretty much overpriced everywhere in Europe, btw. I have not seen any store here - Fantasywelt, Tritex, Thiemtwork, or that terrible danish place - that wouldn't sell even the 2-3$ worth commons for 2-3 times as much.
Makes me even more clueless why nobody from Europe seems to be interested in buying my excess minis, when I sell them far cheaper at the average Ebay sale price, and I ship from within the EU so no tax/customs...

I ordered Boneyard brick booster from them. The shipment is fast by DHL but I had to ask the seller for the tracking number by email because it was not indicated on the invoice.
Everything went well, I recommend.
I will surely order Snowbound brick booster from them.
The best seller for a European country (no customs).

Much agreed! They have far better prices and shipping costs than the only other I know of, Fantasywelt.
For me DHL sent me the tracking number themselves, maybe it has something to do with how you set up your account? Not sure.
I already have a case of Snowbound and the Kobold Warband and Adult Blue Dragon preordered from them. Strangely, they have listings for the Wildermount sets, but not for any of the Polymorph Wild Shape and Summoning sets yet.

Just dropping a note as Oliver (the store owner) informed me that the Polymorph/Wild Shape sets are finally available for preorder for September.
