After last year registering at the Wizkids Store, I bought the Strahd sets (and not knowing yet, missed out by a few days on the Yeti Tykes, damn).
Now, oddly the site does not accept Paypal, just bank accounts, so I managed to pay with my card.
When not long afterwards, the specifically made for D&D store page of Wizkids, DNDMinis appeared, I could only make it work on my phone/tablet. I tried checking shipping, and here comes the weird thing...
I suddenly got an SMS on my phone about my shop code the store was asking for, as soon as I provided my email address...
Now that used BlueStacks (a great program for emulating Android on PC) to try and order stuff from the store today, I found that again, even before I registered at DNDminis, it somehow "knew" it was me there, and not only did it send a code for my phone to proceed, it then somehow knew my card number and offered it already for me to pay... Luckily that card has expired already, but still!

Anyhow, after investigating the web address it turns out I somehow got registered on https://shop.app/ by registering on the Wizkids store, and since the DNDMinis store is also "powered" by this app/site, it automatically recognizes me.
Nothing malicious, sure, but I generally like to know where I register, and what details and personal data said site can keep about me. I did register at Wizkids Store, and I am fine with them having my email and address and phone number. I am NOT fine with some random app I know nothing about having the same data, and my card number on top of that. Now I deleted my card from it, but there is no way apparently to un-register from this place... and I don't know if this app is needed for me to use DNDMinis?
If anyone has more experience on this, please share.
