Boneyard Repaints

One thing to note, at least for this clear mini, it has no paint. Therefore you have to treat it like Bones - don't dilute the first paint coat or it will bead up on you!

Aside from boots and shields, did you somehow make them more transparent? It's pretty cool.
This is too expensive.

Transparency - I use Tamiya paints which seem to make the plastic more transparent, regardless of the color. In this case, I started with Smoke (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/acrylic- ... -19-smoke/) to make some shadows (not as effective as a wash) and finished with yellow (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/acrylic- ... ml-bottle/). The yellow finish, combined with the blue plastic, gave the green overall tint.

Note: these smell like hell and are brush ruiners (but still acryllic).

Nice job! The green gives it a great otherworldly look.

Scale 75 inks mixed with some gel medium work very well too!

Those Tamiya clears are amazing. Seen some cool stuff done with those on Reaper Bones translucent mini’s.

I got a lot of the Bones 5 gem dragons, specifically to paint them with the Tamiya paints, to make topaz dragons, sapphire dragons, etc.

Removed the figure & painted the base with Chaos Black. Painted the figure first with Tamiya Clear then detailed with Inktensity Purple (Scale75). Very nice saturation yet transparency with that ink!

Very cool! The purple makes it almost look a bit oily! I like it a lot! :D

Awesome job as see wraith more black smoke color than blue like a specter or ghost.

These look like a much needed improvement.

All four are well done Clint, but I really like how the Bone Whelk turned out. Looks very nice.

Wow; 100% better on all counts. My fav is a tie: the Skittering Horror and Zombie T-Rex.

I agree, the sliminess of the Bone Whelk is just what was needed.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.
