What did you buy this week?

Post by Gopesh1 »

I'd like to know more about your buying habits!

If this is an acceptable topic for a thread, I'd like to know what you got this week (and every week, if you feel like updating!)

I'll start. This week I went down a rabbit hole of old miniatures I don't have and decided to treat myself. Searched around, saw a lot I didn't have. I picked up:

2x Pathfinder Legends of Golarion (LoG) Seugathi
2x Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous (WR) Grimslake

I’m gonna go pull the trigger on a case of Snowbound and the mammoth rider here in a minute, but that is because I’m convinced it’s basically Frostmaiden 2.0 and going to have a large proportion of the minis missing from that adventure, hopefully.

I may buy the June release battle mats while I’m at it.

My Rime game starts in July and I’ve probably got a good 3K sunk into that module alone between 2 Cases, Three case incentives, 4 sets of cardboard buildings, a platinum edition of the adventure and branded/marketed dice from Ultra Pro.

And and a copy of the book 😂

My LGS ended up having a good in store deal on the Wild Shape and Polymorph sets so I finally decided to get them. Also got 3 extra Giant Wolf Spider singles to round out a full 1 CR for easier encounter balancing

Probably won't be ordering anything else this month though (and maybe even next). Between that, Tiamat, Critical role sets, Green Dragon, Kobolds, Summoning sets and Snowbound stuff gonna be taking a nice break

Only one small purchase this week (compared to last) -- one booster set of Boneyard, at FLGS.
Juvenile Kraken (!)
Skeleton with bow
Vamp Spawn
Crawling Claw

Waiting for Wildemount Monsters.

Most recent purchase was a Fangs & Talon Booster and the Red Slaad Paint Night Kit earlier this month.

When I go next week I'm planning on picking up Van Richten's Guide (still debating between standard and FLGS cover), the Dire Troll Paint Night Kit if it's in stock, and I may break down and buy the Green Dracolich. I was considering a couple Wave 14 unpainted but they got pushed back to the following week (plus I have a large order from GameNerdz for them). If I don't bite on the Dracolich I may pick a random PPM booster box from the shelf.

EDIT: The contents of the F&T Booster were:
Air Elemental
Aboleth
Skulk
Kobold Scale Sorcerer (the b model)
I write at Blizzardwatch.com to afford all these minis. Officially boycotting WizKids until Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat is released to the general public.
Donated my PPM to a local library D&D group.

I ordered some Monster Fight Club Green Trees and when I wandered in to my FLGS I bought yet another Warlock Tiles Dungeon Tiles I set. ow I’m looking at a double sided MFC game mat... But that will have to wait until later.
Disclamer: I prefer black bases, and as such have painted many clear bases black. Pictures of my collection will reflect this, varying from the original way the mini was produced.

My most recent purchases/expenses were last week from Dwarven Forge, the Build of the Month set, and backing some dice on Kickstarter. Now I'm mainly in a holding pattern waiting for the next sets to show up for pre order at Auggie's and waiting for the restock at Dwarven Forge. If the eBay bonus bucks kicks in I might buy some older minis I don't have or need more of.

Nothing - I keep getting outbid. That's ok, though, because my GN order that I bought in January should be here tomorrow with my blue dragon and that big gold fella from Pathfinder.
This is too expensive.

MY GN order for the Red and Blue dragons came in yesterday, as well as the goblin warband. I picked up 4 cans of primer at the local shop. My D&L 2 items are due any day, fedex currently has them.

D&L 3 kickstarter ends in a week so I'm still trying to calculate how deep I'm going into that. Right now I'm in the $700 area.

Nothing to exciting. Goblin warband and the 2 polymorph sets (i have zero animals atm) and the 3 npc/character sets from critical role. If they hadn't included dragon born in their sets I could of avoided them lol. I have an obsession with dragons/dragonborn. Hoping Snowbound will start releasing preview of the minis in the set. Getting closer and closer and I don't want to pre-order them only knowing 3 minis. Kobolds are cool but can't see actually using them in combat.

Put in an order for the Adult Blue Dragon, The goblin Warband, 1 of the 2 Animals sets, and a pack of unpainted dragonborn. I intended to pick up the unpainted PF giant Eagle too, as that was the only animal in the other box set I needed, but I forgot it in my order - I'll just get it alongside a bunch of wave 14 unpainted when it comes in a couple weeks.

Sold off a chunk of Mt:G cards I've been holding on to, and bought a case of Boneyard (my first case!), as well as a ton of rare singles I was missing. Still have enough to grab a snowbound case, but I'm waiting to see a couple more minis spoiled from it first. If Granville is right and it is Frostmaiden 2.0, then I'm definitely going to pull the trigger on it.

Fleshing out Troubles in Otari. Painted a bunch of scatter from Terrain Crate I never got around to painting and will look good on the flip mat. Put together all the stretch goals from Dungeons and Lasers 1 and 2 this past week too. 5 sets of stretch goals is a lot of clipping. Picked up quite a few mini's in this months Paizo sub to help with Troubles. Mainly the Dwarfs that I hadn't picked up before and a few monsters.

Cleric of Zon-Kuthon x6, Giant Crawling hand x2, Accuser Devil x3, Dwarf Slayer x2, Advanced Hell Hound x2.

Also if you guys are wanting to spend money, Dungeons and Lasers 3 is well under way and is modular terrain that clicks together. This set is based around Sewers and the City with a crap ton of minis that most of us here would bypass. Glue together models and not pre painted. But it is a super great value for anyone who is interested.

Not too much just 2x ruins sets to expand my ever so slowly growing dungeon of doom collection from Dwarven forge.
